Reconciliation

In order to prepare ourselves for Christmas, our priest invited 12 other priests to confess our church members. Tonight's weather was rainy with fog, but still a lot of people came to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation. I actually counted 10 priests at the church, and they sporadically set up in different areas of the church to confess the long lines of people.

There were even Spanish speaking priest to confess those who don't speak English.

We, as a family, took a few minutes tonight to prepare our hearts for the coming of our Lord, and it felt so good. We even invited one of the girls' friends to come to Confessions, and she accepted the invitation. Before we left the church, she said she felt "cleansed." I loved how she described how she felt, because that's EXACTLY how I felt.

With the hustle & bustle of all the shopping, let us not forget the true meaning of this glorious season. Let us open our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
