Off to See My Momma!

Since Mami Albina was having her 80th birthday party on Saturday, the girls & I took Friday off & headed towards west Texas. Here's what the girls did on the plane. Nicole relaxed.....
...while Megan worked on her homework.

Once in Dallas, we took a shuttle to get a rental car & off we went to Sweetwater to meet the rest of the family. My mother didn't know that the girls & I were going, so she was a bit surprised.

We LOVE our trips to west Texas to see our family. (Pictures will follow. It will, however, take me a while to upload them into my blog.) :)

Outdoor Walking Days are Back!

Who would have thought that the weather would be SO nice today? Just a week ago we had snow, and today, the temperature was up to 62 degrees. Oh my, I'm so happy! For those of you who know me well, you know that I HATE the cold weather & love the summer temperatures. I know 62 isn't too hot, but it was nice enough for Kevin & me to go walking. I REALLY have missed my outdoor walks.
Here are a few pictures of the pond that I love to walk around when the weather is nice. I especially like that I can just walk out the door & begin walking because it's so close to our house.

Tomorrow's high is suppose to be 66 degrees. Can you guess what I plan on doing tomorrow? With temperatures like this, I shouldn't have to use the treadmill much. :D

Girls

The girls had a blast at the PX today. Not only did they look at all the clothes, purses, shoes, and jewlry, but they also looked at make up. We went to the Clinique counter and had make up put on them. Nicole, being the girly girl that she is, just HAD to go first. She is pictured above wearing her new make up.

At first, Megan didn't want to have the Clinique lady put her make up on, but we convinced her to have it done too.

Yazmin, Megan's friend, is pictured below with her make up.

The girls were really impressed with the Clinique make up. Of course, they really don't need make up to make them look beautiful. These girls are gorgeous to begin with! BUT, they did have lots of fun.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day this year had LOTS & LOTS of yummy CHOCOLATE. Kevin bought the girls & me each a box of chocolates (In case you are wondering where the 3rd box is, Megan took HER box upstairs...probably so that I wouldn't get my hands on it), a stuffed teddy bear, and he had flowers delivered to my work on Friday.

Here's what I bought Kevin for Valentine's Day. I wonder why the bowl isn't full of chocolate kisses anymore. Kevin LoVeS Hershey's Kisses, but of course, you can probably tell.
We went to Mass in the morning, and right after church, I took him to Johnny Carino's for some Italian food. Well, I didn't exactly take him; he drove, but I suggested the place.
I also sent him the picture below in a text. (Friday, when I came home from work, Kevin & the girls were out of the house. The snow was so pretty, so I wrote him a message for him on Megan's car and hoped that he would see it when he returned home. Since the snow kept coming, he didn't notice it.) It's a good thing I took a picture of my message.

Introducing Charlie

OK, ya'll, this is Charlie, Megan's new puppy. She was actually a Valentine's Day gift, even though she came to live with us on 12 Feb, and we just love her. Like any proud pet owners, we actually believe that she's the CUTEST dog alive! Just look at her! BUT, I must let you know that she isn't photogenic at all. AND, so you see, she is actually much, much prettier; the camera just isn't able to capture her true being. :)

Snow Day

The girls didn't have school, Kevin was off, and I was released early from work, due to the snow. When the snow came, it just kept coming, so we went outside to play in it for a while. After we got wet & really cold, we came back in to dry off, warm up, and fill out tummies with food. We had so much fun!
