First Day of School

Oh my! It was the first day of school year 2010-2011! Nicole is now in the 10th grade & Megan in the 11th. WOW!!! Where have the years gone?.... My babies are growing up. :( Kevin & I will be so sad when they leave us. We actually are dreading the day.

Ugh... I guess I should save the sad thoughts for another year or two and enjoy them now. It will be a great school year for them both. They are bright students, and we are so proud of their accomplishments. Both girls are straight A students and good girls. I thank God each day for giving us these little ladies because of all the children that God could have given us, He gave us the best ones! :) God has been so good to us.

Who Walks Whom?...

I was enjoying my walk this morning when all of the sudden, I saw something running quickly towards me. It was Charlie Girl! Yep, she left the house & went out to meet me. I was nice to walk with Charlie; however, other dogs/cats/people came around & then she felt like she had to be "social" with them, and of course, she wouldn't listen when I would call her to come back to me. SHE wanted to do whatever SHE wanted to do. Since I didn't have a leash with me, I had to carry. I guess I wasn't able to "walk" her. Instead, she was the one in control.

Kevin Comes Back!

On the way home....

After we were home for a little while, Kevin took the girls & came home with this scrumptious cake. It was soooo yummy. I really enjoy the coolwhip icing!

Girls Day Out

Yay! It's finally the much anticipated Friday! :D :D I took the day off to have a "girls day out" and to get ready for Kevin to come home. We had a very nice lunch at Taco Mac, and then we went off to get pedicures.

I had to embarrass the girls a bit, so I tried to attack "the feet." LOL

I was wishing I had all of their tools and gadgets at home to have our own pedicures.

But, as you can imagine, it's nasty work. Hehehehe....

Some things are better left for the professionals.

After the pedicures, we went to shop & look around the downtown, historical part of Newnan. We had a really good day until the day had to end on a bad note. Due to bad weather, Kevin's flight was cancelled. He tried to book other flights but they too were cancelled, so we had to spend another day without him.

My 39th Birthday

THIS is what I came home to (after work) on my 39th birthday. Kevin was TDY & Megan was out with her friend for the day, so Nicole took it upon herself to make my birthday special. She didn't make a cake but made a rice crispy treat instead! She wrote out "Happy B-Day" with chocolate covered sunflower seeds. Yummy! My, what great ideas does this child have!

She also made the decorations in the background, AND she cooked broccoli & rice casserole for us! It was great!

Oh, and she gave me lots kisses

and hugs. :D It had a great birthday!

Oh, and my co-workers also had a nice surprise for me at work. They brought in a cake & gave me a gift too. Thank God for all the love & blessings I felt today. Like is GREAT!

Candy Run

Tonight we had to make a candy run! We were all craving something yummy, so we hopped in the car and headed to Walmart for something sweet. Megan drove us, since she has to have some night time driving hours under her belt before she gets her driver's license in October. :) Oh, what a sweet summer night!
