New Year's Eve
Every year, we welcome the New Year with a toast. We count down the seconds to the New Year, toast & then drink our virgin strawberry daiquiris. Kevin & I started making these drinks when the girls were little. That way, the girls too could toast a non-alcoholic beverage that looked yummy & was fun. Since then, it's become a New Year's tradition for us.

Nicole is Still Sick
Nicole hasn't been feeling well for the past two days. She has been running a fever between 100 & 102 and has been having a lot of coughing & congestion. I made a doctor's appointment for her today so that if she needed antibiotics, she could get them BEFORE the New Year's Holiday. The doctor seems to think that she has a virus, so not antibiotics are needed. He said to bring her back is she isn't better by next Tuesday. Ahhhh....my poor baby. I wish I could take her sickness for her. :(

Fixed by Bob
After much anticipation, the maintenance man finally showed up. Bob came to our house really late (7:30 p.m. or so) because his coworker called in sick, and he had to pull his coworker's load today. At that point, we were just happy to have Bob at our house to fix the water heater. He immediately went to work, and thanks to him, we now have HOT WATER again! Thank you, Bob.
By the way, I don't know if "Bob" was this man's actual name, but doesn't he look like he should be a Bob?... He seemed very nice, AND he even let me take his picture. :)
